Previews Blogging: November Edition
15 November 2010
Every month, I go through Diamond's Previews to figure out what I want. From now until, I will blog about what I see that catches my attention. Keep in mind that most of my comic buying consist of #1s, collected editions (hardcovers or TPBs), or OGN (original graphic novels). I buy #1s to see if it's something that I will get later in a collected edition.

This covers everything that caught my eye in this month's Previews.

Marvel Previews
Page 7: The Stand: No Man's Land #1
I still look forward to this series. Only Marvel could make me spend $25 a mini series for a prose book that I could get for less then $15.

Page 15: Avengers: The Children's Crusade

Page 72: Casanova Vol 1: Luxuria TPB
I'm hoping for a hardcover of this series. It looks as if one may have been considered so maybe there is still hope.

Page 96: Hawkeye and Mockingbird: Ghosts TPB
Just as I expected this series lasted one storyline. I'm happy to add this storyline to my bookcase and hope for more H&M.

Page 97: Kookaburra K TPB
Apparently, I missed this in hardcover format, so now it's time to track in down.

I really want to see this in a hardcover. I'll buy this as a TPB.

Previews Blogging: October Edition
10 November 2010
Every month, I go through Diamond's Previews to figure out what I want. From now until, I will blog about what I see that catches my attention. Keep in mind that most of my comic buying consist of #1s, collected editions (hardcovers or TPBs), or OGN (original graphic novels). I buy #1s to see if it's something that I will get later in a collected edition.

This covers everything that caught my eye in this month's Previews.

Marvel Previews
Page 98: Captain America: Zemo Premiere HC
Page 112: Marvels: Eye of the Camera TPB
Page 113: Thor Vs Seth, the Serpent God TPB
I remember when this story was being run through Thor with a side story in West Coast Avengers. I read both of those monthly titles at the time and look forward to being able to read through this story again.

That's it for Marvel, so let's move on to the main Previews book.

Dark Horse
Page 27: BPRD: Plague of Frogs Volume 1
This is what I've been waiting for to place beside my Hellboy hardcovers. I can't wait to finally read these BPRD stories.

Page 32: Conan : The Road of Kings #1 (of 6)
Since this is part of the regular Conan series, I will be buying it in collected format which I hope will include the same HC format that the previous Conan stories have been in. I wanted to mention this because this is Mike Hawthorne's debut on the Conan book AND it's written by Roy Thomas.

Page 34: Robert E. Howard's Savage Sword #1
80 pages, full color perfect bound for $8. It's an ongoing anthology, but even with Howard characters I don't expect this to last more then 12 issues especially with recolored older stories.

Page 35: The Savage Sword of Conan Volume 9
Page 38: Mighty Samson #1
Page 48: Age of Reptiles: Omnibus Volume 1
Age of Reptiles is an amazing series of stories about dinosaur. The individual collections of the series are very hard to come by. I've been lucky enough to find them both. This collection includes those series AND the newly completed series. I'm not a big fan of the Omnibus format, but I'm getting this.

DC Comics
Page 104: Bayou Vol 2 TP
Outside of Vertigo books, my DC reading is non-existent. This Zuda comic is my only DC book for this month.

Image Comics
Page 181: Savage Dragon Archives Volume 3 TP
Page 190: Savage Dragon #167
Savage Dragon is the only Image series that I read consistently month to month. There are several that I read in collected edition, but Savage Dragon is the only one that I read month and month out.

And that's it for this month.... yep, no smaller publisher for me. That's a first in a long time.
